Seyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, known by his pen name Shahriar, was born in AH in Tabriz. His father was an honorable and reputed professional lawyer of Tabriz, who was also fond of literature. The poet spent his childhood years, which coincided with the revolution of Tabriz, in villages of Shangulabad, Qish Qorshan and Khoshangab.
Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, also Mohammad Hossein Shahriar was one of the first Azerbaijanis of Iran to write a significant collection of poetry in the Azerbaijani language. Born in in Tabriz, he received his elementary education, including the Divan of Hafez, under his father's supervision.
